![]() I remember reading an article about little girls who were being tortured into being suicide bombers (torture based indoctrination). It is still trauma, and it should be taken seriously.Īnd if you're able to, talking to a therapist would be fantastic. But it's just uncommon.īut it is something that's going to fuck with your head for a while. Obviously nobody talks about it like that anymore, but that's the general idea, it's not impossible to get from a video. The original (like Vietnam War original) definition of what would cause PTSD is when your nerves are pushed past what they can possibly take, causing damage to your mind. PTSD's effects are usually more severe than that, me personally I've been raped multiple times, and I'll start feeling like I'm being surrounded, have all my senses overloaded, and visually see it happen again. But I do have ptsd and know a lot of others with it. That doesn't sound like ptsd to me, I'm not a professional. I have no idea why this subject has gotten under my skin so much. I had to stop doing this research and postpone making this video. I have no idea why this has triggered me so much, or if its even possible to get PTSD from watching a video that doesn't involve you but damn, its really messed me up. And then I keep thinking about that video. And as I read more and more on the entire prison and jail system, I kept getting more depressed and more anxious thinking about all the issues with it and all the people locked up for no good reason IMO. I've seen hundreds, hell thousands of gore videos over the years, very few have left an impression like this. I don't know why, but I cannot get this video and this whole concept out of my head, it's horrific. And apparently she was just in for a few weeks on some petty charge, yet still had to go into an inhumane jail pregnant and giving birth on a floor. The real kicker was when I watched a video of a woman named Diana Sanchez in Colorado giving birth all alone on a county jail floor (I'm not going to link to the video here, google it if you need to find it). It's a system I've always opposed (not trying to discuss that here) but after doing tons of research on it, including watching many videos, I think I'm becoming traumatized by reading about all of it. So long story short, I'm working on a YouTube channel where I plan to talk about various social and political issues from my perspective (who else?) and one of the issues I plan to cover is the US prison/jail ("correctional") system. I've been having a lot of mental health issues lately (just read my post history, I made this dummy account so I could talk about all my issues privately), and one of them is very strange to me, I think I have actual PTSD, or something similar from watching a video recently.
